Cuquío is a town and municipality, in Jalisco in central-western Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 580.96 km². The town name is derived from the Aztec language Nahuatl meaning "Place of frogs and toads"

As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 19,176.[1]
