Dan Webb (born 13 August 1989), is an Australian musician, singer, songwriter and record producer.

Career

Webb has garnered much attention for his spontaneous and energetic live shows.[1] One of Webb's most notable stage antics involves him playing his keyboard behind his back, in a style similar to Jimi Hendrix.[2] He headlined an east coast tour of Australia in support of his 'Hyperspace Clearance' EP in September/October 2010. It was around this time that he added horn players Ari Farrar and Kieran Conrau from The Cat Empire to his regular band lineup. In 2011 he played five shows in a UK tour, played two sets at St Kilda Festival and supported Conway Savage.

In February 2012 Webb performed with Kylie Auldist for the first time and toured New Zealand.[2] His performance at Newtown Festival in Wellington featured Barrett Hocking from The Black Seeds on trumpet.

Webb released demos of twelve original songs for free download from his official website in 2013. The first track to be released, "Departure" featured Auldist on co-vocals[3] and debuted on The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC Radio 6 Music on 26 January 2013.[4] Webb played seven shows in January and February 2013 on his most extensive Australian tour to date, before announcing a 32-month moritorium from live music performance to conclude on 15 October 2015.[5]

His first full-length album 'Sandstorm' was released in May 2014.[6] The first single "Sleep" featured Logie Award nominated actress Ashleigh Cummings on co-vocals in her recording debut.[7]
