David Gauld (mathematician)
David Gauld is Professor of Mathematics at University of Auckland, New Zealand.[1] His reaserch interest is set-theoretic topology, including applications to non-metrisable manifolds, and topological properties of manifolds near the limit of metrisability.
Gauld was born in Inglewood, grew up there, and went to Wanganui Technical College. He has B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from University of Auckland. He completed his Ph.D.[2] (in topology) in the University of California, Los Angeles.
