David J. Dwork

David J. Dwork (September 13, 1938 – August 18, 1997) was Mayor of Mahwah, New Jersey from 1991–1997.

Biography

Dwork committed suicide by gunshot in August 1997 in the town's mayoral offices due to personal debt. There were also allegations of corruption, albeit with no serious evidence found. Dwork is survived by his wife Johanna, two children, and two grandchildren.
