Dawn Ades
Dawn Ades CBE, FBA (born May 1943) is professor emeritus of art history at the University of Essex.[1]
Ades was born in May 1943.[2] She graduated from the University of Oxford and studied art history at London's Courtauld Institute.[3]
Ades was a trustee of Tate, and Professor of the History of Art at the Royal Academy of Arts.[1]
Ades was awarded a CBE in 2013 for her services to art history.[1]
She is married to the British poet and translator Timothy Adès. One of their sons is the composer, pianist and conductor Thomas Adès.[4]
