De Nobili School, CMRI, associated with the former Central Mining Research Institute in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India, has classes one through twelve and is run by the Society of Jesus.
Program
De Nobili is an English medium school but Hindi language and culture have a place in the curriculum. Courses include English literature and composition, vernacular and classical languages (Hindi, Bengali, Sanskrit), history, geography, social studies, computer, economics, math, physics, chemistry, and biology. Values education is integrated into the curriculum. Facilities include a library, A/V classrooms, three science and three computer labs, and auditorium. Extracurriculars include debate, mechathlon, and essay writing. [2]
Courses of study offered lead to the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examinations in Class 10 and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations in Class 12.[3]
