Denis Wiehe
Denis Wiehe C.S.Sp. (born May 21, 1940 Curepipe, Mauritius) is the current Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Port Victoria o Seychelles, located in Seychelles, since his appointment on June 1, 2002.[1] He succeeded former Bishop Xavier-Marie Baronnet, who is now Bishop Emeritus of the diocese.[2]
Wiehe was ordained a Catholic priest within the Holy Ghost Fathers on August 17, 1969. He was first appointed a coadjutor bishop of the Diocese of Port Victoria o Seychelles on April 24, 2001.[1] On June 1, 2002, Wiehe was elevated to Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Port Victoria o Seychelles, succeeding Bishop Baronnet, who retired.[1]
