Deshawn Stephens (born October 9, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who plays for Akita Northern Happinets of the B.League in Japan.[1]
College career
Stephens began his college career at Santa Monica College. Then he decided to transfer to San Diego State University. In 2012-13, he averaged 9.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for Aztecs.
Professional career
In 2013 Stephens signed to play with the Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix in Japan and averaged 9.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. In February 2014, Akita's Nakamura decided to make roster move, and Stephens replaced Sylvester Seay. He went on to average 14.3 points and 8.8 rebounds for Akita in 2014-15. After one year Euro journey, he re-signed with the Akita Northern Happinets in 2016.[2]
