Dingziwan (simplified Chinese: 丁字湾街道; traditional Chinese: 丁字灣街道; pinyin: dīngzìwān jiēdào) is a subdistrict of Wangcheng district, Changsha, China. It is located on the eastern bank of Xiang river, the subdistrict is bordered by Tongguan subdistrict to the north, Qiaoyi town to the east, Qingzhuhu subdistrict of Kaifu district to the south, Gaotangling subdistrict, Baishazhou and Dazehu subdistricts across the Xiang river to the west.[1]
History
As a controlled district of Wangcheng county (县辖区), Xianing sub-division (霞凝区) was withdrawn with withdrawing sub-divisions and Merging township and towns (撤区并乡镇) on June 1995, Dingzi township (丁字乡) and Shutang township (书堂乡) were merged into Dingzi town (丁字镇).[2] the Dingzi town was renamed as Dingzi subdistrict (丁字街道) on May 2012, When it covered 89.39 km2 (34.51 sq mi) with 58.8 thousand of population, and there had 8 villages and 2 residential communities under its jurisdiction.[3]
Dingzi subdistrict was divided into Dingziwan (丁字湾街道) and Shutangshan (书堂山街道) two subdistricts on August 2012. The new Dingziwan subdistrict covers 39.89 km2 (15.40 sq mi) with 31 thousand of population, it contaions 2 residential communities and 3 villages.[3][4]
Meanwhile, the Shutangshan subdistrict covered 49.50 km2 (19.11 sq mi) with 28 thousand of population, there were Shutangshan (书堂山), Heqiao (何桥), Shizhuhu (石渚湖), Zhongshan (中山) and Caitaoyuan (彩陶源) 5 villages under its jurisdiction.[5] the Shutangshan subdistrict was emerged to Tongguan subdistrict on November 19, 2015.[3][4]
