Doist is a privately held company with offices in Santiago, Chile and Porto, Portugal. The company was founded as Ist Productivity Ltd. in March 2012 by Amir Salihefendic through the participation in the Start-Up Chile program. The name of the company was changed to Doist on October 23, 2012.
Doist specializes in productivity software for both individuals and groups. As of 2015, Doist had a mainly virtual team of 30 employees based in 18 countries on 5 continents.
Products
Todoist was the first software released by Doist. Created in 2007, Todoist was one of the first task-management software available.[1] In 2012, Todoist received a complete HTML5 update which allows the service to load in under 100 milliseconds with offline access and automatic synchronization.[2] Todoist for Android and iPhone was released in November 2012.[3]
Wedoist was created in 2010 by Doist and is a collaborative complement to Todoist. It is an online web-based project management software that is fully integrated with email, allows file uploading from Google Drive and Dropbox, and offers real-time collaboration and live chat.
