Douglas de Araujo Smigly (Portuguese pronunciation: [ dˈoglaʃ' dʒi ɐɾɐˈuʒu ˈɕmiɡlj]; born 7 January 1998) is a Brazilian mathematician. Known for his contributions to the algebra and numeric sequences, describing sequences like (sequence A274085 in the OEIS),[1] he currently is a graduate student at Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of Universidade de São Paulo.[2][3]
Prizes and awards
He received more than 40 awards[4] in various scientific competitions, in mathematics, physics, astronomy, astronautics, astrophysics, robotic, chemistry and biology olympiads,[5][6][7] and participates in international science olympiads, as Olimpíada de Mayo and Galois-Noether Mathematical Olympiad, including selection tests to International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics[8] and International Mathematical Olympiad.[9]
He received an honour from the mayor of São Caetano do Sul for notable discoveries and various other prizes.[10][11][12]
