Dravid (surname)

Dravid (Marathi: द्रविड) is a surname found in the Brahmin community in the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka of India. Since they came from land known then as the 'Dravida' region, they took the surname while settling in Maharashtra.^[1]
