Drita D'Avanzo (née Selmani; born February 6, 1976) is best known as a reality star on the VH1 series “Mob Wives.” She is also known for her hot-tempered personality. [1]
Personal Life
D’Avanzo grew up in Staten Island after her family migrated from Albania. Her father was a strict soccer coach and forced her to train hard. She ultimately earned an invitation to play for the Women’s National Soccer Team, but never did.
She has children named Aleeya and Gizelle with Lee D'Avanzo. Her husband’s father was an estranged cousin of former New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani. She has worked for several upscale cosmetic companies as a freelance makeup artist. [2]
Career
D’Avanzo appeared on “Mob Wives” from 2011-16, and remains one of the most popular stars of the reality series.
She also appeared on “Mob Wives” spinoff “Big Ang.”
And on “The Tomorrow Show with Keven Undergaro,” D’Avanzo stated that she is working on a spinoff of her own. [3]
D’Avanzo continues to make regular appearances as herself on television, with notables including “Celebrity Ghost Stories,” and “Watch What Happens: Live.” [4]
D'Avanzo has launched her own cosmetics line called "Lady Boss by Drita." [5]
