eMolecules is a search engine for chemical molecules. The system was founded by scientists for scientists in 2005 with one goal in mind: reduce drug discovery timelines through improved efficiencies. After spending 25 years in drug discovery, eMolecules took a step back and looked at every step of compound sourcing, procurement and logistics and developed tools and standards to streamline the overwhelming process. 9 of the 10 largest pharmaceutical companies and 4 of the 5 largest biotechs work with eMolecules.
eMolecules works with 150 suppliers in order to provide customers with a variety of options and services.
Database
- The database contains more than 7.0M unique molecules from commercial suppliers, like Acros, ASINEX, Accela ChemBio, ChemBridge, ChemDiv, Comgenex, Enamine Ltd, Fluka, InterBioScreen, Key Organics, Life Chemicals, Maybridge, Otava, Specs, and many more.
- The database contains also all entries provided by NIST, PubChem, and DrugBank. Duplicated (non-unique) index numbers are resolved automatically.
Searching
Two public available search modules are provided
- The standard search allows querying for names, substructures, and suppliers.
- The expert search allows interactive searching using also a molecular weight range, CAS numbers, suppliers, etc. The search can be used to widen or restrict already found results.
