East Lincoln High School is a high school located in Denver, North Carolina. It is a part of the Lincoln County Schools school district. school was founded in 1967. Its mascot is the Mustangs. The school colors are orange and green.
Mission Statement
"The mission of East Lincoln High School is to prepare students to compete successfully in a globally diverse society by fostering an academically challenging and safe environment through a partnership involving home, family, and school."[1]
Sports
The school has won seven state titles in its history, the 1973 Women's Basketball title, the 2005 Men's Swimming Championship, the 2006 Men's Swimming Championship, 2009 Men's Cross-Country Championship,the 2012 Football Championship, 2012 wrestling state championship in the 170 pound class by Jeremy Tarleton, 2013 Women's Cross Country state championship, 2014 Football Championship, and most recently a 2014 4x800 track relay championship by the women's track team. Men's and Women's Soccer, Football, Men's and Women's Track, Men's and Women's Tennis, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball and Wrestling have been successful over the years. The band is also very successful.
