Edward Greenwood (19 January 1845 – 25 January 1899) was an English cricketer. Greenwood's batting style is unknown. He was born at St John's Wood, London.
Greenwood made a single first-class appearance for Kent against Lancashire in 1873 at the Bat and Ball Ground, Gravesend.[1] Lancashire won the toss and elected to bat first, making 118 all out, to which Kent responded in their first-innings by making 133 all out, during which Greenwood, who opened the batting, was dismissed for a duck by Arthur Appleby. Lancashire then made 96 all out in their second-innings, setting Kent a target of 82 for victory. Kent reached their target with three wickets to spare, although Greenwood, who batted at number five in this innings, was dismissed for 13 runs by William McIntyre.[2] This was his only major appearance.
He died at Smithwood House in Wonersh, Surrey, on 25 January 1899.
