Eyvan, alternately spelled Eywan or Aivan (Persian: شهرستان ایوان, Shahrestān-e Eyvan)The population of eyvan is mainly Kurdish. Eyvan is one of the counties of Ilam province in western Iran. Its administrative center is the city of Eyvan. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 47,380, in 10,040 families.[1] As of 2010, the estimated population had grown to 49,002.[2] The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Zarneh District. The county has two cities: Eyvan and Zarneh.
