El Silencio is a village and nature park in the Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. It is located in the hills overlooking the west shore of Lake Arenal. El Silencio is a very good tropical forest area for viewing birds and monkeys (while visiting the area to freely view the active Arenal Volcano). There are a few kilometres of trails for picture taking. The price to use the park (March, 2010) is $14 USD (for the whole day). It is connected by road to Tilarán, which in turn connects via the 142 road town to Tejona.[1]
