More information

According to belief Sree Bhoomi Neela Samedha Sri Vaikunda Perumal temple is more than 1500 years old. Thirumazhisai Alwar, when he was a Saivite and known as Siva Vaakkiyar has mentioned about this temple. One of the early Ahobila Mutt Seers is from this Village. There was also a Siva Temple adjoining this temple which has been left to ruins over the passage of time

Ilangadu Village has had great scholars, These people were the descendants of Sri Seshadrachariar who was the Raja Guru of the Jingee Kings.

Temple History

From past 1500 years Jingee Thirumala Nallan Chakravarthy family maintaining the Sree Bhoomi Neela Samedha Sri Vaikunda Perumal temple. Mr S. Rangan is in-charge of the temple as per the official record. Currently this temple is managed by Mr Durai.

Temple Events

Every year Vaikuntha Ekadashi utsavam performed grandly. All this family village members assemble and perform the event.
