Elates ransonnettii, the Dwarf flathead, is a species of flathead native to the western Pacific Ocean where it is found over sandy bottoms at depths of from 5 to 53 metres (16 to 174 ft). This species grows to a length of 19 centimetres (7.5 in) TL. This fish is of minor importance to local commercial fisheries This species is the only known member of its genus.[1]
