The Elm Street Historic District in Hartford, Connecticut is a 15-acre (6.1 ha) historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.^[1]

It encompasses a roughly three-block area just east of the Connecticut State Capitol building, and is characterize by large, handsome institutional buildings dating to the early 20th century. Among the fourteen historically significant buildings are the state office building and Bushnell Memorial Hall, as well as the Romanesque First Presbyterian Church at 136 Capitol Avenue.^[2]
