Emerson Leopoldo Véliz Cartagena (born August 13, 1982 in San Salvador, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran professional football player.
Club career
Véliz came through the Alianza youth ranks and reserves team before joining Salvadoran second division side Platense in 2001. He would make his premier league debut a year later when he signed for Luis Ángel Firpo with whom he would stay for nine years except for one season at Chalatenango.[2] He also played for Firpo in the 2008–09 CONCACAF Champions League.[3]
In 2010 he moved to Atlético Marte before joining FAS ahead of the 2011 Apertura season.
