Enrique Mathet (c.1843 - 1900s) was an French businessman and landowner.[1] He was one of the founders of General Alvear, serving in the first Municipal committee of the commune.[2]
Biography
Mathet was born in France, arrived at the port of Buenos Aires circa 1860, accompanied by his wife. Established in Buenos Aires, Mathet was dedicated to transport companies. In 1878, he traveled to the fields of Alvear and Lobos.[3] And some time later, is associated with Jose Crotto, and organizes the stay "La France".[4]
