The Plain Clay (Eugnorisma depuncta) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in most of Europe, west to England, north to Scotland and Fennoscandia, south to Southern France, Italy, Sicily and Greece, east up to the Caucasus. It is not present in Northern France, the Benelux and parts of western Germany.
The wingspan is 34–44 mm. Adults are on wing from July to September depending on the location.
The larvae feed on Pulmonaria mollis, Lamium, Vaccinium myrtillus and Urtica dioica.
