Eylem Aladogan

Eylem Aladogan (born 24 October 1975) is a Dutch installation artist and sculptor.

Life and works

Aladogan was born in Tiel, as a child of Kurdish parents from Turkey. From 1996 to 1999 she was a student of the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam.[1] In 2004 and 2005 she studied at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. She makes sculptures and installations that take fill up the entire exhibition space.[1] In her work, she plays with the psychological contrast between fear and power.

Aladogan works in Rotterdam and Amsterdam.[1] In 2005 she won the ABN AMRO Kunstprijs. In 2008 she had a solo exhibition in the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo.[1] In 2009 her works were shown in the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam.[1] In 2009 she won the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunst Prijs.[1]
