Fabrice Patient Kwizera (born 28 March 1994 in Bujumbura, Burundi) is a film actor and musician, known for his role in Viva Riva and the Belgian live action short film Na Wewe.
Biography and career
Early life
Kwizera was born in Bujumbura, Burundi. His father was Amiel Mavuma who died in 1994 during the Burundian Civil War that broke out in Burundi due to the ethnic conflicts and his mother is Ms. Léa Kubwimana. Kwizera has one older brother and sister. Kwizera began his studies at Cibitoke II Primary School but moved to Kenya with his family as a refugee in 2002, having spent time living in Uganda. He moved back in Bujumbura in 2007, where he continued his secondary studies at Municipal Lycee of Cibitoke, later transferring to Lake Tanganyika Lycee where he got his first graduate in the faculty of cinematography. He currently speaks both English and French.
Career
He made his major role in a Belgian live action short film Na Wewe as a rebel in 2010, the film that received the special Jury Award – Honourable Mention at the 20th Flickerfest.[1] Kwizera next appeared in the 2010 film Viva Riva as Jason. Fabrice was nominated as Best Young Actor for this role.[2]
