London blast
On Thursday 21 July 2005, four attempted bomb attacks disrupted part of London's public transport system. A fifth bomber dumped his device without attempting to set it off.[7] The device was packed into a six-and-a-quarter litre clear plastic food container with a white lid, manufactured by Family Plastics, sold in about 100 outlets across the UK.[8][9][10][11][12][13]
Simson Fernandes, managing director of plastics manufacturing company expressed concern as their products were used to carry explosives. He also stated that "It is unfortunate that our jar has been used for carrying bombs".[14][15]
