Fana Mokoena (born 13 May 1971) is a South African actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Rwandan general Augustin Bizimungu in the 2004 film Hotel Rwanda.[1] He has also played in a number of theatre pieces, his most recent being Nongogo directed by James Ngcobo. In 2013, Mokoena portrayed UN Deputy Secretary-General Thierry Umutoni in World War Z and Govan Mbeki in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. He is an executive member of the 3rd largest political party in South Africa, the EFF, and a member of Parliament in the National Assembly.
