Fatih Harbiye (In Between) is a Turkish TV show that aired from August 2013 to December 2014.
Synopsis
The show is based on the eponymous story written by Peyami Safa.
The TV show presents two sides of Istanbul: The first side, Fatih, is a poor neighborhood where the character Neriman Sölmaz lives. Neriman is a girl who dreams of becoming a famous artist. She leaves her university studies after third standard. She had a childhood love (Şinasi) who went on to study music.
The second side, called Harbiye, or Beyoğlu, is an upper class, modern European neighborhood where Macit Arcaoğlu lives. Macit is the son of an artist (Inçi), and his father is a businessman (Kerim).
Kerim wants Macit to marry his friend's (Selim Demirhan) daughter (Pelin).
Selim is Nazan's (Neriman's mother) brother and Neriman's uncle, but he doesn't want to see her because he dislikes her father (Faiz).
Neriman does everything with his friend Fahriye. One day they met Pelin and her sister (Doug). She invites Neriman to a party at Macit's house.
Neriman goes to the party, and she meets Macit there. Macit loves Neriman at first sight, so he takes her to a boat alone. Neriman is scared because of what happened to Şinasi's sister (Aslı). She fell into the water and Macit saved her. After that day she starts seeing Macit. In the end they marry.[1]
