Fayaz Ahmad Lone (Arabic: فايز أحمد لون ) is from Indian Kashmir and is an Islamic Finance Scholar working as Assistant Professor in Salman bin Abdulaziz University at Saudi Arabia.[1] He has completed PhD from Aligarh Muslim University[2] India on the topic 'Islamic finance an analysis of compatibility of its objectives and achievements'.[3] World Database for Islamic Banking and Finance[4] is his website, which is related to Islamic Banking and Finance. Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions: A Study of their Objectives and Achievements is his latest book[5] which was published by Palgrave Macmillan. In addition he is also the editor of International Journal of Economics and Finance.[6] Dr Fayaz is working for the promotion of Islamic banking and finance through electronic and print media like conferences,[7] workshops, Articles[8] etc. Recently he spoke on Islamic Banking in which he was of the opinion that in order to sustain equitable growth, the world's only option was to adopt Islamic banking.[9]
