Furtei is a comune (municipality) in the Province of South Sardinia in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Cagliari and about 4 kilometres (2 mi) east of Sanluri. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,657 and an area of 26.1 square kilometres (10.1 sq mi).[1]
Furtei borders the following municipalities: Guasila, Samassi, Sanluri, Segariu, Serrenti, Villamar.
