Gargouille (Lavinia LeBlanc) is a fictional mutant villain character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
Fictional character biography
Gargouille was a member of a faction of Acolytes led by Exodus who participated in an assault on Wundagore Mountain in the European country of Transia, home of the enigmatic scientist known as the High Evolutionary. The Evolutionary had developed a powerful mutagenic compound known as Isotope-E, which the Acolytes coveted for themselves.
After M-Day
Gargouille retained her mutant powers during the M-Day, and made her return in the event, X-Men: Messiah Complex. In it, she was a part of a group of former Acolytes who were tracked down by the X-Men looking for information on the whereabout of Exodus and his newest group of Acolytes. She and the others fought back, but she was taken down by Nightcrawler's quick thinking. The X-Men seemed to get some kind of lead from this group, but what became of them after the interrogation was over is currently unknown.[1]
Powers and abilities
Gargouille is a mutant who is possessed of a diminutive stature and a highly dense body. This combination gives her enhanced strength, speed, reflexes & reactions, agility, coordination, balance, and endurance. Gargouille also possesses hyper-keen senses, as well as razor-sharp talons on her hands and feet, horns on her head, and large leathery wings that grant her natural flight.
