Gary Dunion (born 15 July 1980 in Dundee, Scotland) is a Scottish Green Party and Green Party of England and Wales politician based in Edinburgh.

He is the son of Kevin Dunion, the former Scottish Information Commissioner and was educated at Portobello High School, going on to read sustainable development at the University of St. Andrews.

Dunion has previously worked as a campaign assistant for the World Development Movement Scotland, World Wide Fund for Nature in Scotland, as Chief Press Officer for the Green Party of England and Wales, and for Independent MSP Jean Urquhart. [1] He served as Co-founder and Editor of the progressive blog Bright Green.

He was second on the Scottish Green Party list for the Central Scotland region in the 2007 Scottish Parliament elections[2] and fourth on the list in for the 2016 Scottish Parliament elections.
