Global K-pop
Global K-Pop is a term used to describe Korean pop products specifically created and marketed for the English-speaking international market. Such products include original Korean music that is distributed worldwide accompanied by English subtitles, English versions of K-pop songs, EDM remixed versions of K-pop songs as well as artists specifically produced to appeal more to the global audience rather than the Korean market but following the main characteristics and trends of K-pop.
While the term "Global K-pop" as a set of words has been vaguely used for years, Areia Creations Global Entertainment appears to be the first providing a clear definition as soon as early 2013[1] and it is the first K-pop agency to claim a pure Global K-pop image for the total of their activities.
