Good Kids is an American comedy film written and directed by Chris McCoy, the project McCoy's first feature-length film. The film stars Nicholas Braun, Zoey Deutch, Mateo Arias, Dayo Okeniyi, Julia Garner, and Ashley Judd. The film is scheduled to be released in a limited release and through video on demand on October 21, 2016, by Vertical Entertainment.
Plot
The film follows four high school students who, upon graduating from high school, realize that they’ve missed out on life experiences by always being the “good kids”, and decide to reinvent themselves in order to enjoy their last time together before heading off to college.

Production
On May 12, 2014, it was announced Israel Broussard, Zoey Deutch, Nicholas Braun, and Craig Roberts had been cast in the film, and that Chris McCoy would direct from his own script, which appeared on the 2011 Black List.[1] On September 12, 2014, it was announced Ashley Judd, Demian Bichir, Mateo Arias, Julia Garner, and Dayo Okeniyi all had been cast in the film.[2]
Principal photography on the film began on September 12, 2014, and completed on October 9, 2014.[3]
Release
The film was released on October 21, 2016.[4]
