Gotta Get a Grip was the only album released by rapper, MC Trouble. It was released on June 12, 1990 through Motown Records and featured production by MC Trouble herself and LA Jay. The album managed to make it to #94 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums selling 82,000 units (after the 1991 launch of Nielsen Soundscan) and spawned two singles, "Gotta Get a Grip" and "(I Wanna) Make You Mine". However less than a year after the album was released, MC Trouble, who was predicted by many to have a promising career ahead of her, died of a seizure.
