Gushtasb was the 25th Shirvanshah. After death of his father, he inherited the throne.[1][2]
Reign
His reign saw first wave of Mongol invasion. Shah managed to escape capital. Subutai and Jebe's army passed from Derbent to invade Rus'. Prior to invasion of Jalal ad-Din Mingburnu local people revolted against shah making his son as new Shah. He went to Georgia to seek help from Rusudan of Georgia. He was defeated by his son and managed to escape again but Queen deported him from Georgia. His fate is unknown. He was considered as man of adultery.
