With the hope of department being reinstated, a strike broke out by the present students of management sciences but to no avail. No further students were enrolled since and the remaining students continued with the program.[5]
Gas blast incident
Due to poor maintenance of administration there was a blast in one of the class rooms which resulted in serious and fatal injury of one staff member and a senior faculty member Dr Zubair Farooqui. Both did not survive this incident. Apparently gas from leaking pipes had filled in the room and by mistake turning on electric switch for lighting resulted in a blast that was heard far across the area. Fortunately students were off when this incident occur. [6]
