The Member of the Legislative Assembly since 2013 has been Brendan Maguire of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party.

It is located in the Halifax Regional Municipality, just south of the Halifax peninsula. It includes Spryfield, Herring Cove and Harrietsfield.
