Hans Michahelles (18 May 1899 – 14 June 1975) was a highly decorated Konteradmiral in the Kriegsmarine during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hans Michahelles was captured by French troops in April 1945 and was held until 1950.
