Heath McIvor

Heath McIvor (born August 1980) is an Australian puppeteer, writer and singer known primarily for his role as 'Fiend' in The Jim Henson Company co-production Me and My Monsters, and his more general role as the puppet comedian Randy Feltface.

Career

Heath McIvor's career in puppetry began when he was 17. Since 2002 Heath began performing with Melbourne children's theatre company Polyglot Theatre.[1] He provided puppetry work for The Hobbit, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Walking With Dinosaurs, the Live Experience.[2] Heath has also worked in television on Pigs Breakfast, Li'l Horrors, and 'Fiend' in Me and My Monsters.

Heath teamed up with comedian Sammy J in 2008 to write and perform in Sammy J in the Forest of Dreams. The show won The Age Critics Award at the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival[3] and was performed at the 2008 and 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was also brought out on DVD and screened on The Comedy Channel in Australia in June 2010.[4]

Music

Other than puppetry, McIvor is the singer for Melbourne country rock band "The Palenecks" and goof rock band "Pillow".
