Hibel Museum of Art
Hibel Museum of Art is an art museum in Jupiter, Florida in Palm Beach County. It is located on the campus of Florida Atlantic University and holds artworks by Edna Hibel and other artists. The museum hosts a concert series, lectures, and a children's art camp.
The museum opened in 1977 in Palm Beach, Florida displaying the Clayton and Ethelbelle Bion Craig collection of 180 paintings by Edna Hibel as well as her stone lithographs, and the Craigs' collection of antiques, paperweights, Asian artifacts, and furniture. The collection grew with the donation of Asian snuff bottles from the Caldwell Family, and additional donations of Edna Hibel's work and other artworks, dolls, and sculptures.
The museum was temporarily relocated to Lake Worth, Florida in 1999 and then in 2002 moved to its current location at the Abacoa Town Center.
The museum was designed by Kha Le-Huu and Partners.[1]
