Holger Waldenberger (born December 7, 1967 in Bielefeld, Germany) is a German professional quiz player. He won the individual title in the European Quizzing Championships in 2012.
On all his participations at the World Quizzing Championship he was the best German player. In 2012 he placed 13th worldwide, in 2011 he was 22nd and 2010 he was 24th. In 2009 when he first participated at the WQC he was the best German player.
In 2011 he became the first German to win an IQA medal when his 4 nations club "Europalia" won Silver in Bruges.
In July 2012 he got his first television-appearance as "Chaser" (German: Jäger) in the NDR-Show Gefragt – Gejagt for all six episodes of the German remake of the British quiz show.
On November 10, 2012 Holger Waldenberger became the first German EQC-Individuals-Champion in Tartu (Estonia).[1] Besides this unexpected success he made also in pairs-discipline with Dorjana Širola (best female quizzer worldwide) the third place and in the Club-Team-discipline he made the second place with the team "Europalia".
