The New Milford Railroad Station is a historic railroad station on Railroad Street in New Milford, Connecticut. It is a long and narrow wood-frame building with a gable roof, built in 1886 by the Housatonic Railroad Company, which was acquired by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. The station, with its Victorian trim, is an emblem of the community's growth as a summer resort area, which was made possible by the railroad. Passenger service ended on the line in 1970. The station was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 1, 1984. The station is currently home to the Greater New Milford chamber of commerce.^[2]
