Ek Cup Cha (এক কাপ চা) is a Bangladeshi romantic film directed by Naim Imtiaz Niamul. The shooting of this film started on October 15, 2010. But for different circumstances regarding producers, it cannot be released. Finally, actor Ferdous Ahmed produced the film for the first time in his career and released on November 28, 2014. Ferdous Ahmed himself act in the central role of the film along with Moushumi, Mamnun Hasan Emon, Humayun Faridi and more. This was last film of Humayun Faridi.[1] Bangladesh National Film Awards winning actor Alamgir and her daughter Akhi Alamgir is seen this film. After the success of the famous movie Bhat De, Alamgir and Akhi Alamgir, the father and daughter duo, worked in the project.[2]
Story
A professor of English of a college Shafiq (Ferdous Ahmed fall in love with a librarian Deepa (Moushumi. But he cannot tell this to her. He used to keep rose on Deepa's table everyday. Suddenly, he decides to tell her about his love and asked Deepa to take a cup of tea with him. He faces some difficulties in his way. Kolkata super star Hrituporna Sengupta is seen in a bar in a special appearance. Humayun Faridi acted as a doctor in this film.[3]

Production
Ferdous, the producer of the film, went to Madras to work for the background of his first film Ek Cup Cha. On 15 June, Ferdous and the director of the film Naim Imtiaz Niamul went to Madras for a week to do the sound adjustment, print and the sensor print from Madras. Due to upgraded technology of background of the film, they went there so that their audience can enjoy a better print of the film. Ferdous wanted no lacking from his side as this is his first film as a producer.[4]
Soundtrack
The music of this film was composed by Imon Saha and lyrics were penned by Kabir Bakul. Lilua Batas Soi Go a song by popular writer Humayun Ahmed has been included in the film. Before his death, it was his last penned song.[5]
