ID Africa is an independently owned "creative content, digital communication and marketing agency" headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. ID Africa combines technology and creative strategies to facilitate digital visibility of individuals and organisations listed as its clients.[1]

Background

ID Africa was launched in February 2015, by its founder and "media entrepreneur", Adekunle Ayeni. The company is part of the BHM Group, which is the parent companies of Nigerian Entertainment Today and Black House Media.[2] ID Africa helps individuals and organizations harness web and mobile technologies, app development, search engine optimization and social media. According to ID Africa founder, Ayeni, "Brands must have a passionate community of consumers who are believers and evangelists, happy to share their experience and convert even the worst skeptic. The combination of great social technology and cool content are the sine qua non to achieving this."[3]

Management

ID Africa is founded by Adekunle Ayeni, a public relations consultant, businessman, publisher and columnist. Ayeni is the head of BHM Group. Ayeni, a University of Ibadan-trained microbiologist, (who is referred to in Nigerian media circle as ‘Ayeni the Great’) has a career path that has taken him from artiste management to events organisation before embracing journalism, which has taken him across major media houses in Nigeria, including, The Punch, Thisday, Hip Hop World Magazine and Encomium. He is the publisher of Nigerian Entertainment Today. Ayeni was recently featured as one of Nigeria's most powerful young people in media by YNaija.[8] The launch of the mobile television platform NET Television of BHM Group was recently reported in the media.[9]

Femi Falodun was announced as the Chief Operating Officer of ID Africa. Falodun, prior to assuming the role of COO, headed the digital department of Black House Media. In his new role, Falodun oversees "the management of digital assets and campaigns of the BHM Group and the management interfacing between the constituent companies of the BHM Group." He reports to BHM Group CEO, Adekunle Ayeni.[10][11]
