INS Vipul is the fifth Veer-class corvette, currently in active service with the Indian Navy. She was constructed at Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) located in Mumbai. She was commissioned to Navy service on 16 March 1992 and became a part of Western Naval Command of Indian Navy.[1]
