"I Am Blessed" is a song by Eternal, released as a single in 1995. It was the second single released from the album Power of a Woman, just after they had scored their third #1 hit in Japan with "Who Are You". This gospel ballad achieved success in the charts and peaked at #7, spent 12 weeks in the UK Singles Chart and was certified silver by the BPI for sales over 200k within the UK. It also peaked at #7 in Ireland, becoming the group's first top ten hit in that country.
The overall vocal strength is such that it is often compared to Whitney Houston's gospel songs.[1]
