The black-cowled oriole (Icterus prosthemelas) is a species of bird in the family Icteridae.
It is found in Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and possibly Honduras.[1]
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.[1]
