Ijjauddin Balban-e-Iuzbaki was the Governor of Bengal during 1257-1259 CE.
History
After the death of Malik Ikhtiyaruddin Iuzbak, Ijjauddin was appointed as the Governor of Bengal by the sultan of Delhi. Ijjauddin ruled Bengal for 2 years. He invaded south-eastern Bengal in 1259. During his absence in the capital, Tatar Khan, the Governor of Oudh, invaded Bengal. Thus Ijjauddin's ruling of Bengal ends in 1259 CE.[1]
